Karaoke ringtone for Xmas

HOPING FOR a post-Xmas surge in demand after people start testing the capabilities of their new mobile handsets is Singtones. Believe it or not this company offers Karaoke ringtones.

You've guessed correctly if you think the typical Karaoke ringtone would sound dire playing on your handset. So Singtones offers Studio PC software as a free download. This features an option to ‘fix’ the vocal performance so its creator sounds in-tune and in-time.

Naturally, the company offers a bundle of four Singtones vouchers, costing £5, in time for Xmas. Each voucher can be redeemed for one Singtone that can then be delivered to a mobile phone.

In addition to Singtones’ catalogue of Christmas classics, the company offers a range of classic tracks for purchasers to sing along to.

Singtones' boss, Jeff Bloom, claims, "A ringtone of you singing Mariah Carey’s All I want for Christmas’ makes a brilliant caller-ID for a loved one." The INQ isn't quite sure about that one.

For those who don't have access to a PC it is also possible to record a Singtone using your own handset. The company provides a list of which handsets are suitable for doing so.

At present this service only appears to be active in the UK.
