We are more reliant than ever on
our mobile phones according to research carried out by Surrey University.
The study investigated how mobile phone callers in London, Paris and Madrid used
their phones in public.
It discovered that while Londoners create invisible mobile phone booths,
Parisians tend to talk in the middle of the pavement and people from Madrid like
to share their phone with friends.
The research team led by Dr Amparo Lasen also discovered that people living in
all three cities could not imagine living without their mobile phones.
