La Quinta Inns & Suites has
extended its "Wake Up on the Bright Side" campaign to mobile phones and wake-up
calls.
The Irving-based midprice hotel chain has created a ring tone to match the
catchy "La La La" music from its ads and eight customizable wake-up calls that
customers can download through Oct. 31.
Both are free, but standard messaging and air time fees may be assessed by
mobile phone companies.
Julie Cary, who heads La Quinta's marketing effort, said travelers are looking
for ways to relieve stress.
"La Quinta wants to differentiate itself by tapping into the power of optimism
and being the bright spot at the end of the traveler's tunnel."
